iRobot Vacuum and Mop Review
In contrast to some robot vacuums this one isn’t afraid to take on the stairs. Like any mop or vacuum it is susceptible to clogging by debris, such as tennis shoes, thread, jewelry, or other loose items.
The iRobot Home App allows you to label rooms, and also create zones of no-go areas. It also lets you keep track of your mops’s progress and battery condition.
iRobot Combo j7+
The Combo J7+ is a part of the mop and robotic vacuum line-up and combines the robotic cleaner’s smart mapping capabilities with its ability to tackle spills. In my testing it, the Combo J7+ did a great job at avoiding water spraying on the rug. The industrial Robot vacuum backed away when it came across the rug, and didn’t attempt to get over it even though I moved the rug around a few times.
The arm comes with a 240mL tank which is easy to remove and filled. This makes it more convenient to use as opposed to the mop pads that are found on many other 2-in-1 robotic arm. It also makes use of the iRobot’s PrevisionVision technology to avoid obstacles, which is more advanced than other systems of this type.
iRobot Combo i5

This robot vacuum and mop from iRobot is a great choice for homes that have carpets and hard floors. It makes use of intelligent mapping to avoid obstacles and clean efficiently. It also has different mopping options, including a powerful SmartScrub feature that can help clean tough stains. It is also able to create No Mop Zones to ensure that carpets won’t be sucked up. The dock can refill the mopping fluid automatically. This model is more expensive than the previous Roomba Combo j7+, however, it comes with more features.
Its patent-pending Mopping Drive System applies pressure to the floor for more thorough cleaning and eliminates tough staining. iRobot Combo i3
The iRobot Combo i3 is an upgraded version of the original Roomba i3. It still has a HEPA-filter to remove allergens, and the same fantastic external dust compartment, but it now supports smart mapping. This means that you can designate zones that are not allowed to be used to stop it from vacuuming those areas again. The i3 Plus has a lot of other great features, such as its advanced cleaning system and a power-lifting 10x vacuum. It also has the ability to clean in three stages. It also features a textured exterior to ward off dust, fingerprints and pet hair.
It does well on plain floors and is able to clean most debris however, it was a bit difficult with pet hair on low-pile carpets. It is quieter and does an excellent job on high pile carpets. The i3 costs a bit more than the Roborock S4 Max, but it has a self-emptying system that cleans the mop pads and replenishes the reservoir of water.
You can create cleaning schedules using the i3 App. You can also utilize your voice assistant to control your robot and start or stop the cleaning. It also tracks your home’s unique floor layout to give you a customized schedule and cleaning habits. It uses state-of-the-art sensors for mapping to guide you through carpet and hardwood, and learns your routine to maximize performance.
iRobot Combo i2
The Combo i2 is the latest robot mop and vacuum from iRobot. It is a combination of iRobot’s intelligent floor cleaning technology to make it a great option for industrial robot vacuum homes with hard floors and a few rugs or carpets. The Combo i2 has a combo system which allows it to switch between mopping or vacuuming with the push of the button. It also comes with iRobot’s latest navigation technology. Its PrevisionVision system is far superior to the average and will avoid obstacles like power cables and stairs.
Its Smart Map remembers the rooms you clean and the ones you prefer. It can tell if the machine is in a room that requires extra attention, like a kitchen or living area. It also has the Clean Base Automatic Dirt Disposal system that removes dirt in a controlled manner up to 60 days.
The dual multi-surface brush is another great feature of the Combo i2. They are more effective than standard mops, removing dirt from corners and edges. The robot’s acoustic sensor can do this. The Combo i2 is also equipped with powerful suction and an intelligent design. It is controlled via the iRobot App with voice assistants as well as an adjustable calendar.
iRobot Combo i1
The Combo i1 robot vacuum can also mop. When the unit detects that a surface requires to be cleaned, it raises and swivels underneath it using a robotic arm equipped with the cleaning pad. This iRobot robotic vacuum and mop is ideal for anyone who wants to keep their home tidy without lifting a single finger. It’s compatible with Alexa or Google Assistant so you can use voice commands to control it. Additionally, it comes with smart mapping technology that means you can set a schedule and the robot will take care of the task for you.
It features a slim-profile docking station that doesn’t take up much space. It also has a movable dirt compartment. However you won’t be able to view the inside of the compartment since it’s constructed of opaque plastic. The i4 is also missing some features like the AI-powered obstacle-avoidance and keep-out zones on the j7 or j7+.
It does however have a powerful cleaning system and a pair of rubber brushes that aren’t caught in pet hair. It’s also a good choice for homes with carpets that are high-pile because it can take care of the additional dirt and debris better than other vacuums. The i4 requires less maintenance and has lower costs for recurring maintenance and is more efficient in its most suction-free mode.
